Smart Meters provide the capacity for
power to be exported to the grid when production levels of distributed power
installations exceed local load demand via inverter systems, under tightly
regulated conditions. PH2 Power Inverters are certified for this
purpose by CSA.
When DG systems cannot meet load demand, power is purchased from the grid as usual. |

| Leadership in developing a fiscal and regulatory framework for netmetering may have come from market leaders California, Japan, Germany - the practice and framework is now widespread - driving continued growth in markets where rates for distributed grid supply compete with relatively high background pricing. By driving down costs and increasing volume, renewable grid-tied installations are becoming competitive in certain markets. Further reductions in inverter costs are seen as one of a few key elements in encouraging broader use of distributed power systems. Hydro Quebec is showing leadership in its announcement of a program to introduce independent power producers feeding the grid with power generated from sustainable sources. PH2 will introduce its grid-connected systems within this framework. |
