Micro-Grids (for info on load management & export of power to the grid) The company is developing advanced energy management systems that will enable independent power producers to export excess power generated in their location to the electrical grid and/or use their distributed power system to meet their local load. Development of micro-grids built around locally available power represents an important paradigm shift in the electrical sector. Inverter – Standard Models SOLO 1000W, SOLO 5000W The most important performance features of a sine-wave inverter are accurate and efficient regulation and distortionless waveform generation. Other requirements may vary with the application and type of DC sources (such as biomass engines, fuel cells, PV, wind turbines, batteries, etc...) and are best addressed by modifying system controls and governing firmware. SOLO Fast-Analog Inverter topology uses a patented switching pre-regulator allowing hyperbolic frequency modulation, coupled with a sinusoidal pulse-width modulation. This pre-regulator feeds into a linear regulator, which provides accurate and fast feedback loop performance, coupled with accurate waveform mimicking. Linear regulators can be easily wired for constant current or constant voltage outputs, which is of importance for grid tie, stand-alone or UPS modes. The underlying principle of the PH2 Fast-Analog inverter is applicable to a wide range of applications, and additional features and functions are implemented by PIC microcontroller. A patent has been granted for the switching regulator and a patent has been submitted fo the SOLO inverter, using the switching regulator as the key element in the design. Performance specifications for the standard 1kW model are below:
Performance
specifications for the standard 5kW model are below:
